From the organizer

Pajamas? Check. Sleeping bags? Check. S’mores? Absolutely. Get ready for Snooze at the Zoo 2026, a wildly fun overnight adventure at the Milwaukee County Zoo where bedtime gets a whole lot more exciting. Families and friends are invited to camp out with some very unforgettable neighbors (hint: they have fur, feathers, and some impressive nighttime vocals). Bring your tent, pillow, and sleeping bag — we’ll handle the rest! Your night includes dinner, breakfast, nighttime zoo fun, animal sounds after dark, and yes — the only fire involved is for making perfectly gooey s’mores. Even better? Every Snooze at the Zoo helps support the Zoological Society’s mission of conservation and education — so your night of fun makes a real difference. Online registration opens Monday, May 18, at 9 a.m. for Zoo Pass and Platypus Circle members. Non-members can register starting Tuesday, May 19. Campsites are approximately 20 feet by 20 feet and limited to a maximum of 8 people and two tents per site. Snooze at the Zoo occurs rain or shine — no refunds. Thank you to our supporting sponsors Prairie Farms Dairy, Lifeway Kefir and Racine Danish Kringles.
