About this event
Nourish your gut and reconnect with traditional food and herbal wisdom in this hands-on class. Together; we’ll look at how plants and cultured foods have long supported digestion; assimilation; and overall vitality. This class introduces digestive herbs and simple fermentation practices that can be easily woven into everyday life. We’ll discuss how herbs support the digestive process; soothe irritation; stimulate appetite; and encourage digestive health. also explore the role of fermented foods in cultivating a healthy gut microbiome. Topics may include herbal teas; bitters; and tonics alongside ferments such as sauerkraut; kvass; or herbal ferments. sample several herbal preparations as well as fermented foods and make an herbal ferment that everyone will take home.
