Rhyme Time at the Wauwatosa Public Library is a delightful way to engage your little ones in early literacy. This 20-minute session is packed with stories, songs, and movement, perfect for kids up to 2 years old. No registration needed, just show up and enjoy. After the structured session, children can enjoy half an hour of free play with age-appropriate toys. It's a great way for little ones to socialize and for parents to connect with each other. Rhyme Time is a 20-minute program which engages your child in early literacy development through interactive stories, songs, fingerplays, and movement. Rhyme Time is designed for children birth through 2 years accompanied by an adult. Older siblings are welcome. Registration is not required. This Rhyme Time session will be followed by half an hour of unstructured play with developmentally appropriate toys. Mr. Fred Rogers shared the importance of play when he said, “Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning.” We hope you'll stay and play with friends! Please note: Our children's programs are planned so that they are developmentally appropriate for children of the age range specified. Please respect these age limitations when bringing children to programs.
