MKE Chess Scholastic Chess Club

The MKE Chess Scholastic Chess Club is a fantastic opportunity for young chess enthusiasts to gather and learn in a friendly environment. Hosted at the West Milwaukee Community Center, this weekly event is designed for K-8 students to enjoy the strategic game of chess while making new friends. Each session includes a short lecture by chess coach Edgar Talayko, making it both educational and fun.

With snacks and drinks provided, kids can focus on honing their skills and enjoying the game. Although up to 20 chess sets are available, bringing your own is recommended to ensure everyone can participate. It's a perfect way for kids to engage in a constructive activity and become part of a community.
