Maddy Kelly is a writer and stand-up comedian based in New York City, originally from Vancouver. Known for her sharp wit and viral social media clips, she has amassed millions of views on platforms like TikTok. She has written for Canada’s long-running news satire show, This Hour Has 22 Minutes. In 2025, she won a Canadian Screen Award for Best Writing in a Variety or Sketch Comedy Program for her work on Check This Out. Kelly is a co-host and writer for the Webby Award-winning CBC podcast series including Let’s Make a Sci-Fi, Let’s Make a Rom-Com, and Let’s Make a Horror. Named a "New Face of Comedy" at the 2023 Just For Laughs festival, she has appeared on CTV’s The Standup Show with Jon Dore and CBC Radio’s The Debaters. As of late 2025, she is actively touring with live dates scheduled through 2026 and will be a featured comic at SXSW.
