Lynden's HOME program marks World Refugee Day 2026 with a day-long free gathering at the sculpture garden. Organized as both a resource fair and a multi-cultural celebration, the event includes hands-on art-making, food sampling, live music and dance, poetry from refugee communities, and information on local services for refugees. The 2026 theme is We Belong/You Belong: Joy and Unity Against the Odds. Free and open to all ages.

In our eighth year of recognizing World Refugee Day, the HOME Refugee Steering Committee at the Lynden Sculpture Garden invites you to join us for a series of free, family-friendly events that celebrate Milwaukee's refugee communities through art, food, poetry, and performance. Our theme for 2026 is We Belong/You Belong: Joy and Unity Against the Odds.
