Part I
About this event
Lucero, a staple of the Memphis music scene since the late 90s, is set to perform at Turner Hall Ballroom. Known for their distinctive blend of southern rock and Memphis soul, Lucero has a sound that is both nostalgic and fresh. Their music, rooted in punchy rhythms and Americana storytelling, resonates with fans old and new.
The band's evolution over the years has seen them embrace a variety of musical influences while staying true to their roots. This performance promises to deliver the raw energy and heartfelt lyrics that have made Lucero a beloved name in the music world. Turner Hall's intimate setting will only enhance the connection between the band and their audience, making for a memorable night.
From the organizer
"It would be difficult to find a band that is more self-aware than longtime touring band Lucero. Since forming in Memphis in the late 90’s, Lucero’s base musical hallmarks have remained similar to the band’s initial sound established with their first record The Attic Tapes. In the history of their expansive discography, Lucero has evolved and embraced everything from southern rock to Stax-inspired Memphis soul, whilst simultaneously maintaining their distinctive sonic foundations. Years later, dedicated fans of the group still flock to hear the band’s punchy driving rhythms, punk-rooted guitar licks, and lyrics that evoke the whiskey drenched sentimentality of Americana singer-songwriters."
