From the organizer

Kirk Deeter, Trout Unlimited's Editor and Vice President of Angling, appears for an evening featuring his new book, A Fishable Feast. From crystal-chalk streams to saltwater flats, untamed jungles to cascading mountain streams, Deeter offers up the 'tastes' of the most epic fly-fishing adventures in the world. Fly fishing is as much about catching fish as it is the experience of visiting uniquely beautiful places and meeting people along the way. A hugely important part of destination fishing is the post-angling gathering, often centered around local dishes. Each destination in Deeter's book features stunning original photos and a unique story about a fishing adventure. Whether a world-traveling angler, someone dreaming of taking a first trip, or an armchair traveler, anyone can appreciate the complete joy of fly fishing portrayed in these pages. Author Monte Burke says: "Absolutely nailed it. The spirits of Lefty and Bourdain hover over this book, nodding in approval.” And from Christopher Elbow: "A masterwork for the traveling angler and the discerning epicurean, this book by Kirk and Matthew beautifully merges two passions. They celebrate the undeniable truth that while fishing may lead the way, it’s the culture, cuisine, and journey that make an adventure unforgettable. Bravo!”
