From the organizer

JOHNNY MANCHILD & THE POOR BASTARDS Website | Spotify | Facebook | Instagram Johnny Manchild and the Poor Bastards is an American multi-genre ensemble founded by Johnny Manchild. Since its founding in 2016, the band took the internet by storm, with a unique conundrum of jazz idioms, alt-rock, world music, and funk that prompted even Anthony Fantano himself (known as “The Only Music Critic Who Matters” by the NYT) to ask, “what gives them the right to be this good?”. The Bastards have since answered that question, drawing from a dedicated and thriving fanbase that is bound together by a deep love of music, lyricism, and personal expression. FRIEND OF A FRIEND Spotify | Instagram Friend of a Friend formed in the summer of 2020 after a lifetime just missing each other. Since their debut release in 2022, they’ve toured relentlessly throughout Europe and North America and have been featured in Spin Magazine, named an artist to watch by Rolling Stone, an “American Visionary Duo” by Mesmerized, an “indie rock band taking the scene by storm" by Wonderland Magazine, a "cultural phenomenon" by Extravafrench, "sonic visionaries" by Plastic Magazine, and "the next huge thing in indie rock" by Each Measure. KARMA & THE KILL JOYS Spotify | Facebook | Instagram Karma and the Killjoys is classical piano turned rock band. Loud key-smashing chords dueling with gritty electric guitar, powerful, raw female voices and a thick chorus of harmonies is the strange and compelling concoction the band calls piano-rock. Ever pushing the bounds of what that means, Karma and the Killjoys expand their musicality with every song, both embracing and defying the genre–and therefore defining it.
