in shining armour is a Milwaukee based two-piece rock band that consists of singer/guitarist Seth Kaplan and drummer Aidan Hoppens. spirit hound is the band’s debut EP, blending the catchy hooks of early 2000's indie-emo with intense distorted guitars and heavy hitting drums. The contrast between the vocals and instrumentals create a unique and dynamic sound that gives emphasis and sincerity to the lyrical content which explores feelings of melancholy with a somewhat optimistic approach. spirit hound was recorded in Fort Collins, Colorado with Corey Coffman at his studio, “Deep Down”.
