Part I
About this event
Esther Rose, known for her heartfelt lyrics and catchy pop tunes, is set to perform at Milwaukee's beloved Cactus Club. Her music, infused with a sense of longing and connection, resonates deeply with audiences. The club’s intimate setting enhances the experience, making it a perfect spot to enjoy live music up close.
Sam Gelband joins as a special guest, adding another layer of talent to the evening. The Cactus Club is a staple in the Milwaukee music scene, known for its welcoming atmosphere and excellent acoustics. Whether you're a longtime fan or new to her sound, this show promises a memorable night of music.
From the organizer
Esther Rose was on a long solo drive when she started writing the opening title track of Want, her stunning fifth album. At first, the words seemed almost like a joke, something to keep herself amused as the miles passed. “I want a puppy, but I don’t want to walk it / I want to love, but I don’t want to talk / I want a job, but I don’t want to go to work.” But the more she sang it, the more she realized she was tapping into something far deeper, a universal longing for change and connection, for love and freedom, for stability and adventure.
