About this event
At Tooth and Nail Studio, kids aged 7-12 can dive into the world of clay with this engaging camp. Over four afternoons, young artists will learn handbuilding techniques to create imaginative vessels. The focus is on creativity, allowing kids to experiment with shapes and textures while gaining foundational skills in ceramics. In this playful clay camp, kids will explore handbuilding techniques while creating functional vessels with a whimsical twist. Campers will make cups, bowls, and small containers that feature imaginative shapes, textures, and sculptural details like faces, creatures, or playful patterns. Along the way, students will learn how to shape forms, attach pieces, and add surface decoration using beginner-friendly clay techniques. Parking around Tooth and Nail Studio can be tricky. There's a free lot behind the building, but it fills up fast. Street parking on 1st Street is metered, so bring some quarters just in case.
