On May 2nd Brett Newski & the Bad Inventions bring scrappy rock n roll, freak folk and comedic storytelling to The Argo Stage. Folk-Grunge. Dirtwave. Garage Americana. Whatever you call it, BRETT NEWSKI has carved his own lane at the crossroads of scrappy rock n roll, freak folk and comedic storytelling. Alongside his band BRETT NEWSKI & the Bad Inventions, NEWSKI has long been regarded as one of the most durable independent artists of the modern era. With a decade spent touring the backroads and underground venues of Europe, South Africa, North America, and even less-trodden circuits like Vietnam, Japan, Iceland. Newski has played alongside bands like Violent Femmes, Pixies, Nada Surf, Guster, Gin Blossoms, Better than Ezra, Barenaked Ladies, Japanese Breakfast, Built to Spill, and Courtney Barnett. The band has received praise from Rolling Stone, NPR, American Songwriter, SiriusXM, Boston Globe, NBC, Billboard and SPIN. Doors at 7:00pm. Show at 7:30pm. Full bar service will be available throughout the show, with the kitchen being open 4-close.All guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and supervised at all times while inside the building. Failure to provide proper supervision may result in removal from the premises.
