Explore nature with your toddler through art, songs, and a gentle hike at Schlitz Audubon.
Audubon Toddlers: Wonders of Nature is a charming program designed for young children and their caregivers to explore the beauty of nature together. Held at the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center, this event offers a hands-on experience where kids can play, create art, and enjoy a short hike tailored to their pace. It's a wonderful opportunity for families to connect with nature and each other.
The program is led by Early Childhood Educator Allie Furru, who guides the group through songs, stories, and outdoor activities. With a focus on fun and learning, children are encouraged to get a little messy as they engage with the natural world. The event takes place rain or shine, so dressing appropriately is key. It's a perfect setting for fostering a love of nature in young children while building community among families.

Join Early Childhood Educator Allie Furru in nurturing a sense of wonder in nature with your little one. We will meet outdoors in one of our specially designed outdoor classrooms to explore, play, and create art. Be prepared for your child to get a little messy, it is all part of the fun and learning! We’ll also gather as a group to sing songs and listen to a story before we head out on a short seasonal hike just the right length for little legs. Adults can connect with other nature-loving families of young children for fellowship and community. Please note: This class is specifically designed for children 2 to 3 years old accompanied by their adult caregiver. We require a one-to-one ratio of children to adults for this program. To optimize the experience for all, accompanying infants can attend, but this class is not appropriate for mobile younger siblings. This program will take place outdoors, rain or shine. Please dress your little one and yourself for the weather. We recommend waterproof shoes or boots. In case of severe weather or air quality concerns, the program will be relocated indoors. Tickets are non-transferable.
