The details

About this event

The Audubon Babies: Sensory Garden is a delightful introduction to nature for your little ones. Hosted at the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center, this event offers a sensory-rich experience with indoor play and an outdoor hike. It's designed for babies aged 6-24 months and their caregivers, providing a unique opportunity to explore nature's wonders together.

The program begins with a story and sensory play indoors, setting the stage for an engaging morning. Following this, families will head outside for a guided hike along the scenic trails. It's a wonderful way to connect with other families and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Make sure to bring waterproof shoes for both you and your child to fully enjoy the experience.

From the organizer

Children are never too young to learn about and enjoy nature’s wonders. Join a Nature School Early Childhood Educator for a sensory-rich morning of nature exploration. We will meet indoors for a story and sensory play time, then head outside for a guided hike on the trails. This program is an excellent opportunity to connect with other families of very young children for fellowship and community.
