From the organizer

From Rome to the shores of the Adriatic Sea, explore the heart of Central Italy through six distinctive wines. This guided tasting highlights the diversity of the region’s hills, coastlines, and mountain vineyards, showcasing both indigenous varieties and time-honored winemaking traditions. Umbria’s Sagrantino based deep reds and the Cesanase based wines grown just outside Rome are classics that have only become readily available in the last two decades. This broad region is also home to the ancient Malvasia family of grapes best known to yield fragrant dry white wines, and the nutty and herbaceous white’s made from Verdicchio just off the Adriatic coast, plus more. Come curious, leave inspired!
